Over 35,000 habitations have been connected with all weather roads and over 1,90,000 km existing rural roads have been upgraded/renewed since Bharat Nirman was launched

PERAMBALUR:The State government is giving priority to effective implementation of rural development schemes in Perambalur district and a sum of Rs.70 crore has been spent during 2009-10 for about 78,300 works through the District Rural Development Agency, said D. Napoleon, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has done laudable work for rural infrastructure development in the state and has fully utilised funds allocated to it. This has been said by chairman of National Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Shri Umesh Chandra Sarangi in a letter to the state government.

The state cabinet in its meeting today endorsed the action plan for linking all the villages with roads in Madhya Pradesh by the year 2013 under Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, MNREGA and BRGF.
