India has been ranked 67, much lower than neighbouring China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal in the 2010 Global Hunger Index (GHI) Report released on Monday by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), a United States-based policy think tank.

While India has witnessed 23 per cent reduction in global hunger index (GHI) between 1990 and 2010, its performance is much below rival China whose score has fallen by a huge 48 per cent during the same period.
