New Delhi: The multi-crore Adarsh Society scam reverberated at the Army commanders

MUMBAI: The Union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) has denied that it has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) on March 11, 2003, to Adarsh Housing Cooperative Society, Mumbai, for construction of a residential building.

The state revenue minister Narayan Rane has broken his silence and has promised to inquire into the controversial Adarsh society at Colaba, which has become a major source of embarrassment for CM Ashok Chavan.

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson and one of the founder members of the society, Kanhaiyalal Gidwani, said,
