Puntambekar Minerals for the purpose of mining bauxite near the Radhanagri sanctuary. The Court notes that the matter has been pending for a long time before being taken up by the Standing Committee of the National Board of Wildlife. NBW had asked the Government of Maharashtra to initiate action against mining units which are operating without obtaining approval from the National Board of Wildlife.
