Shimla: Determined to impose green tax on vehicles bearing registration numbers of other states, Shimla Municipal Corporation has decided to again approach the BJP-ruled Himachal Pradesh government to seek its approval so that it could raise much-needed funds.

New Delhi: More than 100 hydroelectric projects planned by the Uttarakhand government are in jeopardy. Under this scheme the forest department, within the next five years, will be given skill development training to 1 lakh 73 thousand tribal villagers associated with the forest department, spending Rs 12 crore 58 lakh.

Madhya Pradesh Forest Minister Sartaj Singh has said strict action will be taken for protecting forests and forest land and no compromise will be made against forest crimes.
