Islamabad—Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has developed Building Energy Code of Pakistan in collaboration with ENERCON to bring energy efficiency in buildings.

In order to promote energy efficient buildings in the state, Punjab will soon enact Energy Conservation Building Code(ECBC 2013).

Andhra Pradesh adopts an Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) for large commercial and and other non residential buildings that have a plot area of more than 1000 Square Meters or built up area of 2000 Square Meters and certain categories of buildings- multiplexes, hospitals, hotels, and convention centers.
