MUMBAI: The good and bad of Mumbai are both translating into an unhealthy portrait of the city.
On the one hand, its status as the highest per capita income city could be fuelling its biggest health problems — namely the twin epidemics of diabetes and hypertension. On the other, being one of the most densely populated cities in the country is ensuring that one tuberculosis patient spreads the air-borne disease to at least 15 others within a year.
