This report presents an assessment of Zimbabwe’s agriculture sector disaster risk and management capacity. The findings indicate that Zimbabwe is highly exposed to agricultural risks and has limited capacity to manage risk at various levels.

This paper highlights two case studies of adaptation being integrated into sectoral development programs and projects, in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Ideally, the findings from analyzing these case studies will accelerate and scale mainstreaming efforts in India.

South Africa is a major producer and exporter of agricultural products. The diversified agricultural sector produces a wide variety of agricultural commodities based on both large-scale commercial farming and small-scale family farms. However, pockets of food insecurity persist with more than 10 % of households experiencing hunger.

This publication explores the consequences of severe weather in 2017/2018 on Scottish agriculture, with respect to livestock numbers, fodder supplies, crop production and other related topics. The overall losses to Scottish livestock and crops are estimated at £161 million, equivalent to 6 percent of total output in 2017.

Research suggests that extreme weather events have a negative impact on agricultural income and wellbeing of smallholder households. Climate change induced shocks can also affect people's ability to work, thereby, infuence their decisions on labor or time allocation.
