This report reviews the state of poliovirus surveillance for the first year of the Global Polio Surveillance Action Plan, 2018–2020 (GPSAP) implementation, comparing its performance to the preceding two years and taking stock of the challenges faced, innovations advanced and opportunities explored to enhance surveillance especially in priority areas

Toxic, disease-causing pollution travels the globe and crosses national borders in many guises, both visible and invisible. Air pollution from coal-fired power plants, vehicle emissions, and factories circle the earth, as does vaporized mercury and many other airborne pollutants.

The Federal Executive Council of Ministers approved in May 2019 Nigeria’s National Action Plan to reduce short-lived climate pollutants.
