In this Original Application the applicant has sought relief and compensation for the damages caused to river Ganga and its aquatic life by hydraulic structures at Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal which has resulted into loss of the livelihood to the fisherman.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of B. Raghupathy Vs Union of India & Others dated 21/08/2018 regarding M/s. New Ark Project proceeding with a project without mandatory requirement of environmental clearance. The project consists of high-rise residential apartments and a commercial complex. The project involves extraction of ground water, generation of waste, generation of effluents, pollution of water streams, adverse population density and increased vehicular emissions. The project is in the catchment area of Bellandur and/or Varthur Lakes.
