Over the last decade, poverty has declined substantially in India, driven largely by the country’s more recent rapid economic growth. Sadly, however, improvements in the nutritional status, particularly of children, have not kept pace.

There is a growing body of literature on the impact of climate change in Africa. Most studies have concentrated on the impact of climate change on crop and livestock productivity, while other studies have assessed adaptation to climate change.

This executive summary is the starting point for identifying indicators for the Agrobiodiversity Index which will aim to help policymakers and the private sector to assess dimensions of agrobiodiversity to guide interventions and investments for sustainable food systems.
