Question raised in Lok Sabha on Management of Sewage, 24/02/2016. The quantum of sewage generated from Class - I Cities and Class - II Towns is 38254.82 million litres per day (MLD) out of which only 11787.38 MLD (31%) is being treated and the remaining 26467.44 MLD is disposed into the water bodies without any treatment. The city wise details at Annexure-I. The various technologies being used in sewage treatment plants are Activated Sludge Process (ASP), Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR), Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR), Oxidation, Anaerobic Digesters etc.

Question raised in Rajya Sabha on Illegal Mining, 24/02/2016. In exercise of the power conferred by section 23C of Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, 1957, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh has published the Uttar Pradesh Mineral( Prevention of Illegal Mining), Transportation and Storage Rules, 2002. In addition, Uttar Pradesh Govt. vide Order No-5360/77-5-2005-371/05 dated 10.11.2005 has constituted a task force under the chairmanship of District Magistrate to check and curb illegal mining and illegal transportation in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh.

China installed half of all new wind capacity worldwide last year, according to the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).
