EPCA Report - Report on priority measures to reduce air pollution and protect public health in the matter of W.P. (C) No.13029 of 1985; M.C. Mehta v/s UOI & others. The report states that Delhi was able to arrest and lower air pollution with its first phase of action directed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. But Delhi could not sustain these gains and air pollution levels are rising again. Growing pollution especially from vehicles and delayed action have enhanced public health risk.

This booklet explains EPA's Air Quality Index (AQI) and the health effects of major air pollutants. EPA calculates the AQI for five major air pollutants regulated by the Clean Air Act: ground-level ozone, particle pollution (also known as particulate matter), carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide.

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) organised a Stakeholder Workshop on Air quality and transportation challenges in Kathmandu on December 27 in collaboration with Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Government of Nepal.

This bird’s eye assessment of the cities of India & how they fare on parameters such as air quality, public transport, walkability, parking policies and fiscal initiatives was released in New Delhi by Harish Salve, senior advocate of Supreme Court of India and the Amicus Curiae on environmental cases.
