The United Nations took a step towards a new climate treaty on 15th May by publishing the first draft negotiating texts to help bridge a "great gulf" between options for rich nations to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

This Paper aims at connecting the need for transport actions in developing countries to the international negotiations on a post-2012 climate change agreement. It outlines the decisions to be taken in Copenhagen and the preparations to adequately implement these decisions from 2013.

This paper presents comprehensive proposals for the post-2012 climate regime: the scale of the challenge, emission targets for industrialised countries, increased actions by Southern countries, financing, technology, adaptation and deforestation. The proposals are based on ongoing research by the Wuppertal Institute.

Migration is part of human history; the concept of environmental migration however, is still controversially debated. While some scholars predict high numbers of people migrating due to climate and environmental changes, others still insist that there is not enough scientific evidence for the existence of the phenomenon of environmental migration at all.

More and more cities around the world are developing dedicated Climate Action Plans to reduce Green House Gas (GHG) emissions and improve the local air quality for their inhabitants. The transport sector usually plays a crucial role in any such strategy. In many cases, transportation is the primary source of CO2 and other GHGs, contributing up to 40 percent of the cities

This report addresses the question of the relationship between the level of emission reductions to be undertaken by the United States by 2020 and the risk of exceeding a global 2
