The Ministry of Road Transport on 4th July 2022 has published the Central Motor Vehicles (Draft Amendment) Rules, 2022.

This paper provides a comprehensive overview of mild-hybrid technology and recent developments in 48V mild hybridization of conventional vehicle powertrains. It estimates the CO2 reduction potential, as well as current and future system cost, for different mild-hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) system configurations.

The Ministry Of Road Transport And Highways (MoRTH) ON July 01, 2022, has issued the Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2022 to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. The following amendments has been made: Rule 115B, Fuel Consumption Standard, has been substituted, namely: 115-G.

In developing countries with inadequate public transport and road infrastructure, motorcycles present a fast, cheap, and efficient transport alternative. Motorcycles are widely used in many African countries for personal and public transport, as well as for service delivery.

The Central Government vide notification dated 29th June, 2022 has issued Draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2022. The amendment classifies vehicle in respect of which a type-approval certificate has been issued on or before the commencement of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2022 as existing models.
