This twentieth edition of the Agricultural Outlook published jointly by OECD and FAO provides market projections to 2023 for major agricultural commodities, biofuels and fish across 41 countries and 12 regions. In a special focus on India, the Outlook projects sustained food production and consumption growth, led by value-added sectors like dairy production and aquaculture.

Elephants are revered in Thailand and, as an important part of the country’s identity, they are an integral part of Thai beliefs and culture. However, despite this, Thailand has one of the world’s largest unregulated ivory markets and is consistently highlighted as one of the most problematic countries in the illegal ivory trade.

Over 20,000 African elephants were poached across the continent in 2013 according to a report released today by the CITES Secretariat.

This report presents the methodology and lessons learned from a climate change adaptation study conducted under the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Core Environment Program. The study yielded a framework and methodology for assessing climate vulnerability and adaptation options for rural communities in the GMS.
