Britain's greenhouse gas emissions rose 2.8 percent in 2010 due to increased power generation, largely due to cold weather early and late in the year, provisional data from the government showed.

The National Tiger Conservation Authority in association with its various partner organisations declared the official tiger estimate in India for 2010. This latest tiger census puts estimated tiger population in the country at 1636.
